Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable 12-Volt Automotive Technician to install, wire, and troubleshoot vehicle electrical accessories and aftermarket equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with 12-volt automotive electrical systems and takes pride in producing clean, professional installations.

This position will primarily involve installing strobe/emergency lighting, power inverters, auxiliary lighting, communication equipment, and other 12-volt accessories in a variety of vehicles.


Responsibilities
  • Install and wire 12-volt electrical accessories and equipment in cars, trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles.
  • Install emergency/strobe lighting systems, light bars, sirens, switches, and control modules.
  • Install power inverters, auxiliary power systems, and related wiring.
  • Install radios, antennas, GPS equipment, cameras, and other vehicle electronics as needed.
  • Route, secure, and protect wiring to ensure clean, professional, and reliable installations.
  • Connect equipment to vehicle power systems, fuse panels, switches, and control circuits.
  • Read and follow wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and electrical schematics.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and installation issues.
  • Use a multimeter and other electrical testing equipment to identify problems.
  • Remove and reinstall vehicle interior panels and trim without damaging components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer installation requirements.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure proper operation, appearance, and reliability.


Qualifications
  • Previous experience installing 12-volt automotive electronics or accessories preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and 12-volt wiring.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow electrical schematics.
  • Comfortable using a multimeter and basic electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to safely remove and reinstall vehicle trim and interior components.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.


Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:
