Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled RF Test Technician with an active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance to support the testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and verification of advanced RF electronic systems. This role requires hands-on experience working with RF equipment operating in the MHz to GHz frequency ranges, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional testing and performance verification of RF assemblies and systems operating across the MHz to GHz spectrum.
  • Perform automated calibration and system testing using Windows-based software platforms.
  • Diagnose and repair RF, analog, and DC electronic circuits down to the component level.
  • Adjust and optimize amplifier circuitry to ensure products meet required performance specifications.
  • Operate a variety of RF and electronic test instruments, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, frequency counters, and power meters.
  • Record, review, and maintain accurate test results and production documentation.
  • Complete Test Data Records and ensure all documentation complies with company quality standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based software applications used during testing.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures to support troubleshooting and product verification.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Operations Supervisor and communicate technical issues as they arise.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve product issues and improve testing processes.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and security-compliant work area while following all company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent electronics certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an electronics manufacturing or RF testing environment.
  • Strong understanding of RF systems and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Hands-on experience using RF laboratory equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and frequency counters.
  • Ability to troubleshoot RF, analog, and DC circuits to the component level.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting aerospace, defense, or military electronic products.
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE) or automated test systems (ATS).
  • Experience performing production-level testing and system integration.
  • Knowledge of RF amplifier alignment and tuning techniques.
  • Understanding of controlled documentation and configuration management practices.
