Responsibilities: ย 

  • Assigned within Operations and Assignment Division or a Regional NMCSO for the procurement, assignment, and protection of radio frequencies incident to the satisfaction of telecommunications requirements in support of the customer
  • Prepare engineering data for frequency, telecommunications, and other communications-electronics matters for participation in meetings or subcommittees, National and International working groups, and Conferences and Conventions.ย 
  • Analyze spectrum data of communication systems and based upon knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation, initiates and directs actions at the National or International level, as required, to eliminate conflicts in frequency assignments that arise as a result of the heavily congested radio frequency spectrum.
  • Coordinate with appropriate federal, non-federal, military, and other government officials of the United States and foreign countries to carry out the above actions.ย 
  • Formulate and direct studies of customer radio frequency assignments with a view toward adjustment, sharing, or reassignment to ensure spectrum efficiency for authorized customer use.ย 
  • Attends working groups pertaining to frequency allocation plans, frequency assignment plans, and DoD policies affecting the communications-electronics elements of the military services.ย 
  • Evaluate and analyze Tables of Frequency Allocations, channel plans, and planned changes to the Radio Regulations as prepared at National and International Telecommunications Conferences to consider the potential impact to the customer communications systems and equipment.ย 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree or a graduate of the Interservice Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or The Army Spectrum Management Course or Navy's Fleet Spectrum Manager Course (FSM).ย 
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in spectrum management work related to the duties described above.ย 
  • Activeย TS/SCIย clearance as required by the US Government contract.

Working Environment:
This position is 100% in-person in Honolulu, HI ; Remote or hybrid work is unavailable.
