Job description

The client is seeking a UX writer capable of producing and enhancing content for an informational French-language website, while adhering to a defined brand voice.

Recurring keywords (clear language, simplification, information hierarchy, editorial judgment) indicate that the primary focus is clarity for the user, not high-volume content production.

The role is rooted in a digital experience design and development approach: the candidate will work alongside UX specialists and content experts; they will not be an interface designer or a marketing copywriter.

The ability to transform complex insurance or financial information into simple content is central to the role.

Five years of experience in web writing, UX writing, or digital content strategy is the entry requirement.

Requirements

Mandatory:

Bachelor's degree in communications, writing, journalism, linguistics, or a related field

5 years of experience in web writing, UX writing, or digital content strategy

French writing skills (writing, editing, proofreading)

UX writing, plain language, and content simplification

Information structuring and prioritization based on user needs

Editorial judgment and rigor in editing and proofreading

Experience working in collaborative and agile environments

Web writing practices, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital accessibility

Collaboration with business subject matter experts to simplify complex content

Asset:

Additional training in user experience, digital communications, or information architecture

Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

Knowledge of the insurance industry or financial services

▸ Profile with writing experience in print or publishing, with no web content experience.

▸ Less than 5 years of experience in web writing, UX writing, or digital content strategy.
