Job description

Full Time Security Officer
  • $18.50 Per hour
  • Monday-Thursday
  • 3 Day Weekend OFF
  • 5:15 AM to 4:15 PM
  • Federally Observed Holidays OFF

          Job Duties include:

  • Conduct and monitor access control of employees and visitors.
  • Have visitors sign in on paper or with their badge if one has been issued to them. Check visitors' driver's license to ensure the names they provide match their ID. If a visitor is a state or federal employee, have them provide their state or federal badge.   Have new visitors fill out a visitor registration form or if it is their first visit of the calendar year.
  • Take a photo of new employees with a webcam in order to issue an Employee ID badge once you have obtained a employee number from HR
  • Issue proximity access key badges to employees that work in building 1 or need access to the facility during the weekends or early morning or late evenings.
  • Monitor Lobby Track software for correct processes when an employee or visitor enters and leaves. Check In when they enter your door, Check Out when they leave your door. 
  • Monitor WIN-PAK software from door access key card use and manually enter the employee into Lobby Track.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to provide daily employee In and Out reports as well as daily Evacuation reports. Monthly Vendor/Visitor reports. Annual Visitor Registration tracker to know what visitors have already completed a registration for the year.
  • Monitor cameras during the day watching for intrusion, theft, suspicious activity, and employee access. Conduct camera playback reviews of the times during when you left and when you arrived and the weekends.
  • Issue magazine keys in the morning to employees and collect them all at the end of their shift. Magazine keys cannot leave the facility, if a set of keys isn’t returned, call the employee the keys were issued to and have them return as soon as possible.
  • Inspect the trailers of Transportation Protective Service freight. The exterior and interior of the trailer if the driver is here for a pickup and the exterior of the trailer if they are delivering, as the trailer will be sealed. 
  • Monitor lightning detection software or websites and notify site contact when a storm is approaching. Once lightning strikes are within a 10 mile radius of the facility notify site contact and/or production supervisor and all production will be placed on hold and buildings will be evacuated.
