Job description

The Shipping Specialist manages daily outgoing freight operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective product delivery. This role is responsible for preparing shipments, utilizing the My Courier tracking portal, and coordinating directly with external freight carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and regional motor freight lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrier Coordination: Schedule, book, and route outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, and various Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) motor freight carriers.
  • Portal Management: Input, update, and monitor real-time tracking data and shipment status through the My Courier tracking portal.
  • Documentation: Generate accurate shipping labels, packing slips, commercial invoices, and Bills of Lading (BOL).
  • Order Preparation: Safely pick, pack, weigh, and palletize industrial or commercial products according to carrier guidelines and safety standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Track delayed or lost shipments through carrier networks and resolve delivery discrepancies proactively.

  • Inventory Control: Maintain stock of shipping supplies and log completed orders into the internal warehouse management system.


















Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a warehouse shipping, receiving, or logistics role.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with third-party logistics portals (like My Courier) and carrier software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
