We are seeking a tech-savvy Air Freight Operations Supervisor to oversee daily air freight operations, coordinate shipments from quote to booking, and support a fast-paced logistics environment focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a logistics professional who thrives in high-pressure environments, enjoys solving real-time operational challenges, and is comfortable leveraging technology-driven systems to optimize freight operations and customer experience.

As a key member of the operations team, you will collaborate with airlines, freight partners, internal stakeholders, and customers to ensure efficient shipment execution while contributing to process improvements and platform development initiatives.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily air freight operations, ensuring timely shipment execution from quote through final booking
  • Source and negotiate competitive air freight rates with airlines and logistics partners based on market conditions and available capacity
  • Provide accurate and timely customer quotes while managing routing, pricing, and operational feasibility
  • Coordinate shipment bookings, documentation, and carrier communication to ensure seamless freight movement
  • Monitor shipment activity and proactively communicate updates, delays, and operational changes to customers and stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot booking, routing, capacity, and system-related issues in real time while maintaining high service standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational workflows, shipment visibility, and platform performance
  • Escalate complex operational issues when necessary while maintaining accountability and urgency
  • Utilize transportation and logistics systems to track shipments, maintain operational accuracy, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives by providing operational feedback and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of air freight operations, freight forwarding workflows, and international shipment coordination
  • Experience working for freight forwarders, airline cargo departments, or GSA operations
  • Proven understanding of air freight pricing, airline routing, and capacity management
