Job description

Freight Operations

The Freight Operations role is the primary contact for designated customers, and responsible for the outcome of assigned projects including customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance and customer interaction. Reports directly to Lead or Supervisor.

This role is for 2nd Shift working hours to support Central Time zones. Hours are 1200-2000 Monday Thru Friday. Hyrbid Role-Requiring 2 days a week to work in the Bolingbrook, IL office location.

Compensation; $42,000.00-$50,000.00 (DOE)

Responsibilities

· Quoting, tracking and tracing domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground on a daily basis.

· Route freight shipments across multiple transportation modes and services based upon client
requests

· Proactively communicate with clients regarding status of freight

· Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing and rates

· Assist sales and TFWW stations with air/ground freight issues

· Manage daily on-time and delivery exceptions, carrier issues

· Understand the requirements/expectations of handling shipments

· All other duties as the business deems necessary

Qualifications:

addresses customer concerns. Assists business partners and customers to achieve their work goals
via application of their own skills and knowledge; strives to provide consistent customer satisfaction.

· Basic to intermediate experience using MS Office

· Basic knowledge or ability to learn regulations and compliance procedures associated with all areas
of logistics

· Time management is extremely important to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume
work environment
