Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager based in the Woodlands to lead and optimize our Ocean Freight operations. This morning shift position requires working hours from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and oversees end‑to‑end execution of international ocean shipments, ensuring operational excellence, process efficiency, and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day‑to‑day ocean freight operations across multiple trade lanes.
  • Optimize operational workflows through data‑driven analysis and automation within the Skypace platform.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with pricing and sales teams to align operational capacity with business growth.
  • Resolve escalations and exceptions, maintaining proactive communication with customers and carriers.
  • Monitor KPIs related to service performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, logistics operations, or supply chain management.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or team management role.
  • Strong knowledge of international documentation, Incoterms, and carrier processes.
  • Skilled in problem‑solving, communication, and operational optimization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, tech‑driven logistics environment.
  • Familiar with TMS platforms, digital freight systems, and shipment tracking tools.
