The Gogo Shipping Specialist effectively manages the daily shipment requirements for the company and conducts look-ahead order reviews to meet both customer dock dates and site's on-time-to request (OTTR) targets. You will pack and stock Finished Goods with particular attention to product preservation.

How will you make a difference?
  • Prepare packages for shipments by validating and prepping contents, creating box labels, and confirming that all accompanying certificates and forms are accurate
  • Responsible for shipping and tracking domestic and international shipments to ensure customer requested delivery dates are met
  • Select the appropriate approved carrier and service level for each shipment
  • Regularly use FedEx Shipping Manager, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarder portals
  • Create customs documentation such as the ACE/AES export filing, commercial invoices, and waybills
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of packing and shipping supplies
  • Ensure product preservation requirements are met. This includes applying safe handling techniques and following ESD and FOD protocols as applicable
  • Facilitate and champion continuous improvement activities. This includes the regular maintenance and review of applicable work Instructions
  • Provide back-up and assistance to Receiving/Material Handling: cycle counts, kitting, receiving as needed
  • Support internal customers with shipping and logistical consulting, as required
  • Participate in internal and external audits

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in the field
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Occasional availability to handle emergency shipments which may involve coming in after hours or staying late on short notice to ensure timely delivery

Required Skills, Talents, & Experience
  • Experience with the ACE portal, commercial invoices, and waybills
  • Knowledge of export compliance / regulations
  • Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage / debris) philosophies
  • General understanding of inventory management

Preferred Skills, Talents, & Experience
  • Knowledge of FAA 8130's and Certificates of Conformance
  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)
Base Pay:
21.73 - 27.16 USD Hourly
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
