The CDL A Hot Shot Truck Driver plays a critical role in ensuring timely and safe freight delivery across long-haul and regional routes. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for maintaining your equipment, securing loads properly, and complying with safety standards while managing daily challenges such as regular inspections and overnight stays. Effective communication and use of navigation tools like GPS and ELD devices are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver freight safely and on schedule across designated routes
  • Perform regular truck maintenance and keep the vehicle clean and organized
  • Operate equipment properly and secure loads to prevent damage
  • Conduct safety inspections and comply with all safety regulations
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and other stakeholders
