We are growing & looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Transportation Team. This person will focus on improving inbound and outbound transportation expenses and service quality. This role is a key role and is the primary person who effectively creates value between the company and carrier relationships. Must be motivated and eager to solve complex problems in an ever-changing environment, with a focus on process optimization, data and technology.

The Logistics Coordinator will analyze large data sets and present key findings and recommendations to drive business decisions. To be successful in this role, the specialist will foster strong internal & external relationships and have ability to collaborate with team members and manage supplier relations. Must possess strong communication skills and be able to present findings to upper management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate Full Truckload (FTL) and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) inbound and outbound shipments with transportation providers.
  • Tender freight loads to approved carriers and secure capacity that meets service and cost expectations.
  • Track shipments from pickup through delivery, ensuring on-time performance and proactively communicating shipment status and ETAs to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure seamless transportation operations.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve transportation issues, including delays, service failures, and delivery exceptions.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with freight carriers while holding transportation partners accountable to agreed-upon service levels.
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates and support carrier sourcing initiatives to optimize transportation spend
  • Research freight market trends, carrier capacity, and transportation rates to support informed shipping decisions and competitive pricing.
  • Analyze transportation data, carrier performance, and shipping costs to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
  • Accurately maintain shipment records, freight rates, carrier communications, and transportation data within company systems.
  • Audit freight invoices and ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
  • Coordinate delivery of warehouse supplies and transportation needs for external partners.
  • Manage offsite inventory storage logistics and transportation for overflow inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve transportation processes, service levels, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned

TRAVEL Occasional travel required, up to 10%

LOCATION Hybrid/Remote from Atlanta GA, Chicago IL or Dallas TX.

BASE SALARY:

$60,000- $70,000/yr. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 2-5 years’ experience working in e-commerce logistics/transportation/shipping/supply chain operations
  • Experience in analyzing and managing transportation processes and freight movements to multiple facilities
  • Experience in the use and application of software and automation technologies used in the industry

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Proficient in excel and data analysis
  • SQL code creation/writing preferred
  • Proficient in Transportation Analytics tools/concepts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to senior leadership
