We are focused on the safe and proper handling of all materials that are temperature-sensitive or dry freight, including medical pharmaceutical supplies, frozen foods, refrigerated produce, household goods, and more.

Who We're Looking For

ShipEX is looking for an experienced security professional to fill the role of Security Guard position. Candidates should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills for various types of issues or concerns. Written communication skills are also critical, especially for data entry and security protocols. The schedule that is currently available is Wednesday/ Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm to 6 am.

Primary Focus & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and controlling access to the facility
  • Complete thorough inspections of company equipment upon arrival and departure
  • Enter accurate information into the systems
  • Audit equipment in the terminal and inventory lists
  • Patrol and monitor assigned areas; report suspicious activities to local authorities
  • Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
  • Secure the facility and company equipment, and report any issues found
  • Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property
  • Reasonably detain persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
  • Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • Computer and technology preferred: Microsoft Office, Chrome, Outlook, etc., and an ability to type at least 30WPM
  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet ShipEX qualifications
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary
  • Must be fluent in English
