Regional Sales Manager – Freight & Logistics

Bensenville, IL / Chicago, IL

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to expand our presence in the local market. This role is responsible for developing new business relationships, building a strong Book of Business (BOB), and providing tailored logistics and supply chain solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in Freight Forwarding Sales, experience with CRM tools (preferably HubSpot), and a passion for networking, cold calling & delivering exceptional logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Growth:

  • Identify, target, and acquire new B2B clients in the local market.
  • Develop and maintain a Book of Business (BOB) focused on Customs Clearance, Freight Forwarding, and Logistics solutions.
  • Implement sales strategies to drive revenue and margin growth.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique logistics needs.
  • Assist clients with export/import quotations, negotiations, and logistics planning to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide exceptional service to both new and existing clients while ensuring retention and satisfaction.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized shipping solutions that meet customer demands.

CRM & Pipeline Management:

  • Utilize HubSpot CRM (or similar platform) to manage leads, track sales activity, and measure pipeline performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, quotes, and deals in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration & Operations Coordination:
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and global partners to optimize supply chain solutions.

Required:

  • Proven record in B2B sales, business development, and account management.
  • Experience using CRM software (preferably HubSpot) to manage leads and sales activity.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while driving results.

Preferred (Pluses, but Not Required):

  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, trade regulations, and customs clearance.
  • 3+ years of Freight Forwarding sales experience (Customs Clearance & Logistics industry required).
  • Knowledge of global trade compliance and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
