Forklift Warehouse Operator - Food Manufacturing

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.50/hr.

1st: (6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) 2nd: (2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) Location: Cincinnati, Ohio 45246

Job Summary

The Forklift Warehouse Operator is responsible for operating forklifts, reach truck and ride on to move goods in/out of trucks and around the warehouse, freezer, and manufacturing floor. The duties include unloading deliveries, loading trucks, stacking boxes for storage, and moving wooden pallets while ensuring efficiency and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks with materials or finished goods following company policy.
  • Transport materials to production workstations or storage.
  • Ensure proper labeling of material being moved.
  • Assist in breaking down and restacking pallets.
  • Identify damages, and report shortages, and quality deficiencies.
  • Inspect and perform daily pre-start checks and complete checklist forms.
  • Maintain and use handheld R.F. scanners.
  • Provide physical inventory cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and communicate any issues.
  • Keep updated records of inventory and produce activity logs.
  • Comply with company policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in keeping a safe environment.
  • Cleaning of work areas and docks on a scheduled basis.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proven experience as a forklift warehouse operator (within a food manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent team player.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Physical Requirements
  • Must have vision abilities including close, peripheral, distance, depth, and color vision.
  • Must be able to work in areas of varying temperatures. Range from -10F to above normal heat conditions.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with light dust in the air, flashing lights, sirens, horns, and powered moving equipment operating in close proximity.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally above shoulder height.
  • Sufficient speech and hearing acuity to perform duties.
