Job description

Milacron is looking for a Manager, Content Strategy and Messaging to join our team in Batavia, OH. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that strengthens brand awareness, supports business objectives, and ensures consistent, customer-focused messaging across all marketing and commercial channels.
Work You'll Do:
  • Define and execute a content and messaging strategy aligned with business priorities and marketing objectives.
  • Develop and maintain messaging frameworks, value propositions, and content guidelines to ensure consistent communication of the company's brand, solutions, and market positioning.
  • Own and manage the editorial calendar, content roadmap, and publishing priorities across digital, print, social media, email, sales enablement, and other marketing channels.
  • Assess content gaps across marketing channels and develop strategic plans that support the buyer journey and increase audience engagement.
  • Lead the development of marketing, technical, customer-focused, and thought leadership content that supports brand awareness, engagement, and demand generation goals.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and other subject matter experts to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, customer-focused content.
  • Review, edit, and approve content to ensure accuracy, quality, compliance, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Measure content performance and audience engagement, providing recommendations to improve content effectiveness and communication outcomes.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of external agencies, freelance writers, designers, photographers, videographers, and other content production partners.
  • Serve as the steward of the company's brand voice and messaging framework, driving editorial governance and consistency across all communications.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in content marketing, corporate communications, marketing communications, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing content strategies across multiple marketing channels.
  • Proven experience leading content and messaging projects involving external agencies, freelance writers, designers, photographers, videographers, or other creative service providers.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and coordinating content development across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts into customer-focused messaging.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools and technologies to support content creation, editing, research, personalization, and other marketing activities while ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and quality standards.
  • Experience in B2B manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technical product environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with SEO and GEO best practices to maximize content performance preferred.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, and CRM systems preferred.
  • Experience developing executive communications, thought leadership content, and customer success stories preferred.
  • Experience developing messaging and campaigns tailored to technical, operational, or executive B2B audiences preferred.

Management Responsibilities: This is an individual contributor role with no direct people-management responsibilities. The position leads content strategy, editorial governance, and messaging development through strong cross-functional influence, while coordinating efforts across internal teams and external content partners.
