Position Summary

The Slot Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Slot Department, focusing on team building, management, and leadership. This role involves daily oversight, ensuring efficient operations, and utilizing slot analytics to drive performance and guest satisfaction. You will lead a team to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal policies while maintaining a seamless and engaging gaming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Works in conjunction with Slot Management to oversee the activities of the Slot Department.
  • Directly supervises slot operations (Ambassadors and Techs) and monitors all related services affecting the department on an assigned shift.
  • Approve and assist in all jackpot processing procedures as required
  • Responsible for guest service-related tasks in slots area.
  • Make final decision on player disputes and support customer service programs.
  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies and standard operating procedures for the Slot Department.  
  • Conducts staff meetings to discuss operations, problems or explain procedural changes or practices.
  • Facilitates organizational change efforts designed to create a corporate culture that supports the business plan and mission.
  • Reviews of employee evaluations and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Gaming on staffing, budgeting, and operational improvements.
  • Implement strategies to improve efficiency, slot machine uptime, and overall performance.
  • Develop measurable performance metrics for staff to ensure they are meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Provides oral and written direction to staff members as needed.
  • Establishes procedures for the effective implementation of the Manager’s directives.
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, State and Federal regulations.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field OR 2-5 Years of operations or hospitality management experience.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Identifying and resolving administrative and customer problems under pressure conditions.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with database systems. Ability to prepare, analyze and create reports, suggest and make operational changes to remain efficient and competitive within the market.
  • Familiarity with gaming regulations and requirements preferred.
  • Experience with slot gaming systems (Bally/LNW, IGT, Servizio, JackpotXpress) or other operational management systems preferred. 
  • Proven track record in improving operation efficiency and enhancing guest experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and the State of Washington.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
