Job description

Bainbridge Adult day care center Center is seeking a compassionate and reliable Russian-speaking driver to facilitate transportation for our Adult Day Health Care Program participants. This role is vital in ensuring our clients' safe and timely travel between their homes and our facility, fostering their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Transportation: Safely pick up clients from their residences, make multiple scheduled stops, and transport them to and from the Adult Day Health Care Program.

  • Schedule Adherence: Maintain punctuality to ensure clients arrive at the facility on time and are returned home promptly.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks to ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good working condition.

  • Communication: Liaise with program coordinators regarding any changes in client schedules or transportation needs.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to guarantee the safety of clients during transit.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, client attendance, and any incidents or delays.

Qualifications
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Russian is required to effectively communicate with clients.

  • Driver’s License: Possession of a valid and clean New York State driver’s license.

  • Endorsements: Passenger endorsement is a plus.

  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, especially within healthcare or eldercare transportation, is advantageous.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with clients.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to assist clients with mobility challenges, including helping them in and out of the vehicle if necessary.
