Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) performs procedures including Ketamine infusion treatments and ketamine bolus treatments under the supervision of a physician. Provides support to providers by answering patient questions regarding ketamine procedures, in-person and over the phone.
Main Responsibilities:
• Performs procedures including ketamine infusion treatments and ketamine bolus treatments under the supervision of a physician
• Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
• Assist with coverage throughout the department, as needed
• Properly clean and maintain all treatment areas
• Maintain a supply list, coordinate with Ketamine Manager on any needed supplies
• Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
• Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts
• Educate patients and their families to promote overall well being
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must work well as part of a team, communicate well with patients, and providers and be comfortable discussing matters of treatment options, expectations, and finances. They must be able to perform essential job duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required, this list is not exhaustive.
Qualifications
• 3 years of relevant education and experience preferred
o Experience in mental health or infusions preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Registered Nursing license with the Arizona State Board of Nursing
o No restrictions or pending action
• IV experience required
• Must possess superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability speak, read, and write English fluently required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal direct supervision
• Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of a Windows Computer and Microsoft office products
• Must achieve proficiency in the following programs
o Electronic Medical Record
o Electronic Payment system Any other systems used in conjunction with the position
• Ability to work independently and provide regular reports is required
• Must adhere to HIPAA and HITECH guidelines at all times
