Job description

Great opportunity at Pioneer Valley Pediatrics for an experienced RN who enjoys caring for children along with building and supporting a well-managed clinical operation. Daily Duties

  • Physician Support: Following the physician during patient visits, collecting medical history, and assisting with clinical procedures.
  • Patient Intake: Weighing and measuring children, tracking growth charts, obtaining vital signs, administering childhood vaccines and performing POC tests.
  • Staff Resource: Serving as the go-to clinical expert for floor nurses, answering practice questions, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Team Training: Onboarding new clinic staff, teaching office protocols, and explaining clinical workflows.
  • Inventory Control: Ordering vaccines, managing medical supplies, and monitoring refrigerator temperature logs.

Required Skills

  • License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.

Additional preferred qualifications

  • Leadership: Experience managing clinical lab operations.
  • Experience: Strong background in pediatric nursing and experience leading or mentoring other nurses. Experience with State Vaccine Programs (like VFC) and staff training.
