The Team:

TheLow Voltage InfrastructureTeam withinthe Embedded Platform Systems & Infrastructure organizationis focused on the development ofsystems andcontrols centered around on-vehicle low voltage power generation, energy storage, power management, distribution, and consumptioncontrol. The Role:

As aSenior SystemsTest Engineer for Low Voltage SystemIntegration,you will be planning, developing, executing, and analyzing system level tests that ensure our designs satisfy ourcustomer'sexpectations on system performance, reliability, and quality. Specific tasks include leadingdevelopment of test plans, choosing evaluation methods, executing tests, collaborating with virtual tool owners, analyzing results, leading root cause activities, and collaborating on solution development.This role willoperatelikea CIE (Component Integration Engineer) for theLow Voltage System.

Our upcoming work brings new, difficult challenges when it comes to effectively testingsystems requirementsusecasesand complex functions within new low voltage architectures. This is an assignment where creativity, initiative, analytical skills, a deep understanding of our customers' experience, and cross-functionalteam workiscrucial and celebrated!

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Develop and execute test scripts using Python that align to system level functional and performance requirements, and end-to-end testing of low voltagerelated features.
  • Support development of customer use cases with systems engineers.
  • Plan and negotiate allocation of resources necessary to support testing in virtual and HiL bench environments.
  • Track feature development and align testing activities with TFRP timing; support CoSim demos.
  • Support issue triageand new feature integration testingwith software and systems engineers.
  • Summarize and communicate test status, support data driven design direction.
  • Ensure correlation of physical testing to virtual testing to fulfill goal of virtual modeling capability and accuracy.
  • Support setup and debugging test properties to assure test readiness.
  • Develop and implement standard work processes and procedures.
  • Participate in DFMEA development and reviews.
  • Improve existing or invent new evaluation methods as needed.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degreein Engineering.
  • 5+ years of automotive engineering experience related to embedded controls, requirements development, architecture development, and/or systems engineering.
  • Proficient in Python scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in the triaging of software, script or test environment issues.
  • Ability to run integration testing on a systems bench and test vehicles.
  • General understanding of vehicle electrical architecturesandcommunication protocols.
  • Solid understanding of the major vehicle systems
  • Deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and a proventrack recordof successful implementation.

People Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including independent judgement and decision-making skills, where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments witha high levelof autonomy and accountability for results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability of leading cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority, and building relationships in difficult circumstances.

What Will Give YouACompetitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Designor testexperience with automotive low voltage electric power related components, controls, subsystems, and/or architectures.
  • Design or test experience with software, controller, or communication activation strategies.
  • Proficiencyin Agile processes and built-in quality concepts such as Behavioral Driven Development.
  • Extensive test automation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and to make sound recommendations.
