Test and Evaluation Engineer

Position Overview

IS4S is seeking an experienced Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to support developmental and operational testing of space, satellite communications, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT) systems. The successful candidate will plan, execute, and report on test activities across the full acquisition lifecycle, from early experimentation and technology demonstrations through formal developmental and operational test events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test schedules, and integrated test documentation; select test approaches and methodologies
  • Design, review, and execute test plans and procedures; participate in and witness Verification & Validation events, acceptance testing, and developmental/operational testing
  • Collaborate on system requirements, critical technical parameters, and critical operational issues and criteria
  • Support Systems Engineering technical reviews and participate in Systems Engineering, Risk, and other Integrated Product Teams
  • Provide T&E input on system design, capability requirements, communications support, and cost considerations
  • Plan and execute field demonstration events for emerging technologies
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and data analysis in support of test design and evaluation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in test and evaluation of DoD systems
  • Active or eligible for a DoD security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of RF systems, GPS/GNSS/PNT, and/or SATCOM (military and commercial)
  • Experience with electronic warfare, space control, or space systems engineering
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and Python for modeling, simulation, and data analysis
