Position Overview
Analog Devices is looking for an intelligent and versatileSenior RF Design Engineerto work with ourRF Semiconductorsteam, based inWilmington, Massachusetts, who will be responsible for product developments such as RF Beamformers, Up-Down Converters, Detectors, Switches, Attenuators, Filters, Amplifiers for various markets.

As a Senior RF Design Engineer, you are an experienced and fully competent engineer in your area. You'll complete your role independently or with minimal supervision, working under limited direction. You'll resolve problems of diverse scope using analysis and judgment within defined policies and practices, and you'll communicate your work in a way that's reflected in others' work. You may also mentor and professionally influence the growth of more junior engineers.

Job Duties

  • Circuit designat transistor level for RF blocks
  • Design evaluation, including first-silicon characterization and detailed analysis
  • Design and developmentfor RF products with various process and packaging technologies
  • Problem resolutionfor issues requiring analysis of identifiable factors, developing approaches and recommendations within defined practices
  • Project contributions and leadership, representing the organization on projects and, as needed, taking on a project leadership role
  • Cross-functional communication, including effective group communication and frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts where required
  • Documentation, preparing required documentation and reports for product development
  • Mentorship (as applicable), supporting the career growth and technical development of lower-level employees

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred; PhD a plus)
  • Typically requires4+ yearsrelevant experience
  • Solid understanding ofS-parameters, transmission line theory, and RF networks
  • Skills necessary toinnovate, design, simulate, and verifycircuit performance at the transistor level and behavioral/architectural level, with strong RF fundamentals
  • Experience in circuit design environments such asCadenceandADS
  • Skills in electromagnetic simulators such asEMProand/orHFSS(plus)
  • Experience in test equipment and RF characterization (plus)
  • Motivated, results-oriented, and organized engineer with good writing, presentation, and overall communication skills
