Description

The VP of Global Paid Media, Public Relations leads the global PR paid media Activation Group for Syneos Health's global media agency. This position reports to the Managing Director, Evolvics and is a key member of the agency leadership team responsible for growing our Public Relations partnership across Evolvics' global presence. This leadership role includes coordinating a multifunction Activation Group that includes project management and media channel specific experts (search, social, programmatic, etc) while collaborating with internal agency client teams and Finance to forecast the PR media business and deliver strong bottom line results.

A critical overall responsibility of this position will be client satisfaction and the growth and health of their Activation Group. The VP will be expected to nurture client opportunities in close partnership with the Lead of the PR Digital Social and Strategy (DSS) team, PR Team Leads and Account Teams to strategically open doors to greater overall agency engagement. This role should be proactive, advising the Managing Director and the Executive Leadership Team on relevant updates to the Activation Group and how the agency can best support continued growth. This position will also be expected to directly contribute to the agency POV and thought leadership within the PR media space.

  • Deep understanding of paid social media and the strategic role of paid content amplification against the broader PR eco-system.
  • Translate complex analytics and engagement data into executive-ready insights and actionable recommendations that drive continuous optimization and measurable business impact.
  • Architect and oversee Evolvics agency approach to PR paid media strategies across relevant platforms including paid social media, sponsored content, PPC campaigns, native advertising and more - optimizing channel mix, targeting, and budget allocation to maximize ROI. Familiarity with Search and Programmatic a plus.
  • Lead and support overall new business pitch opportunities through the advocacy of Evolvics and the role of paid media across the PR landscape.
  • Ensure strong cross-agency integration and alignment with enterprise-wide digital strategy standards, best practices, and innovation initiatives.
  • Accurately determines when freelance support and vendor partnership is required and proactively advises on reserve sourcing to ensure timely deployment of campaigns during peak and surge operating periods
  • Mentor and develop team members, elevating strategic rigor, fostering collaboration, and building scalable digital expertise across the organization.
  • Partners with Operations to collaborate on resource sharing and working more efficiently across the PR Media Activation Group
  • Leverage cultural, social, and healthcare-specific trends to deliver timely, relevant opportunities that enhance brand engagement and credibility.
  • Partners with Media Channel SME teams to coordinate the right talent to support incoming PR account deliverables.
  • Oversee development of integrated content strategies and editorial roadmaps, ensuring alignment with brand voice, audience needs, regulatory requirements, and performance objectives.

Experience

  • 8+ years plus experience in PR paid media delivery; at least 3 of which should be in a senior management or SME capacity
  • Must have healthcare/pharma experience
  • Must have experience working with or for PR agencies
  • Must have a bachelor's degree
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must - experience navigating complex clients a must
  • Demonstrated success in managing a cross-functional team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Demonstrated experience working in a client facing capacity with procurement and client brand teams and with an agency leadership team

  • Automation: Experience leveraging the power of AI to support increased productivity in a dynamic and fast paced environment

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $175K to $195K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
