Job Summary
Management Solutions is seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer to design, develop, enhance, and optimize enterprise business applications for federal government clients utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 GCC High environment. This hands-on technical role is responsible for developing secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Azure integration technologies.
The Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer will work as part of an Agile delivery team, collaborating with business analysts, architects, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver enterprise-scale digital solutions. The position requires extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform, API integrations, DevSecOps, application lifecycle management, accessibility, and federal compliance standards. The ideal candidate has experience supporting federal agencies and can effectively communicate complex technical solutions to business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Client Delivery
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Power Platform solutions within Microsoft 365 GCC High environments.
  • Develop Power Apps using both Canvas and Model-Driven architectures to support complex business processes.
  • Design responsive, user-centric interfaces that comply with Section 508 accessibility and WCAG requirements.
  • Develop reusable Power Fx components, business logic, and application frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts and solution designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent billable utilization aligned with organizational and contract expectations.

Microsoft Power Platform Development
  • Develop and maintain enterprise solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
  • Design Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, forms, and security models.
  • Develop cloud flows and advanced workflow orchestrations using Power Automate.
  • Build custom Power Platform Components Framework (PCF) controls utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports supporting business intelligence and operational reporting.
  • Configure solution layering, environment variables, connection references, and managed solutions to support enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Support modernization and enhancement of enterprise Microsoft 365 business applications.

Integration, DevSecOps & Platform Engineering
  • Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems utilizing REST APIs, JSON, Microsoft Entra ID (Government) OAuth 2.0 authentication, managed identities, and service principals.
  • Support integrations utilizing Azure API Management (Government) where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Utilize Git, Visual Studio Code, Power Platform CLI, and related development tools.
  • Participate in code reviews, automated testing, quality gates, and deployment validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and enhance application performance across the Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Support enterprise governance, solution management, and platform administration best practices.

Quality, Security & Compliance
  • Develop secure applications following least-privilege security principles and Microsoft secure development practices.
  • Ensure solutions comply with FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Microsoft GCC High requirements.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation, evidence collection, logging, auditing, and security assessment activities.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, architecture reviews, and solution validation.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Ensure applications meet Section 508 accessibility and WCAG compliance requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, application architecture diagrams, and deployment documentation.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, business analysts, quality assurance personnel, and client stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the development team.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to enterprise governance, development standards, coding practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support technical solution development, effort estimation, and proposal activities as requested.
  • Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies, including Azure OpenAI and Copilot Studio, for future solution implementation opportunities.
This position may perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 9 years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years of developing enterprise Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing enterprise applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
  • Strong experience with Power Fx, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, REST APIs, and enterprise systems integration.
  • Experience developing custom Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls using React and TypeScript.
  • Experience utilizing Visual Studio Code, Git, Power Platform CLI, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
  • Experience implementing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), managed solutions, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments utilizing user stories and iterative delivery methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Government), OAuth 2.0 authentication, managed identities, and Azure integration services.
  • Experience designing enterprise solutions supporting Microsoft 365 GCC High environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
