What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Freelance Pay in Crypto professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a freelance professional accepting pay in crypto, you need a solid understanding of freelance best practices, cryptocurrency fundamentals, and relevant legal or tax regulations. Familiarity with digital wallets, smart contracts, invoice platforms that support crypto, and blockchain transaction systems is essential. Strong communication, self-management, and adaptability are important soft skills for building client trust and navigating a rapidly evolving digital landscape. What does it mean to get paid as a freelancer in crypto?

Getting paid as a freelancer in crypto means receiving your compensation for freelance work in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other digital assets instead of traditional fiat currencies like USD or EUR. However, it also comes with risks like price volatility, potential tax implications, and the need to securely manage digital wallets.

How do freelancers typically manage invoicing and payment security when being paid in cryptocurrency?

Freelancers paid in cryptocurrency often use specialized invoicing platforms that support crypto transactions, ensuring transparency and clear records. Job description

Rumble is the Freedom-First technology platform. We proudly offer a video platform, cloud services, advertising solutions, and a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet.

Role Overview

The Head of Product & Business Development - Agentic Payments will own goโ€‘toโ€‘market and strategic partnerships for Rumble Cloud's cryptoโ€‘native infrastructure services and payment rails. This role is responsible for building a highโ€‘value ecosystem of exchanges, wallets, AI/agent platforms, and payment providers that positions Rumble Cloud as the default infrastructure for agentic payments. We have offices in Toronto, Sarasota, Miami, and Washington D.C. - the preference would be in a commutable distance from the office, but this position can be remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the BD strategy for Rumble Cloud's crypto IaaS and payment infrastructure, including target segments (exchanges, neobanks, payment processors, wallets, DeFi, AI/agent platforms).
  • Leverage deep expertise in crypto infrastructure to translate today and future market needs into a robust product and go to market roadmap from crypto to agentic payments.
  • Build, prioritize, and manage a qualified pipeline of strategic accounts and partners from first touch through closing and expansion.
  • Source and close infrastructure and payment processing deals that drive GPU/compute utilization, transaction volume, and Rumble Wallet/payment adoption.
  • Structure commercial models for agentic payments and micro transactions (usageโ€‘based, revโ€‘share, interchangeโ€‘like economics, minimum commitments) aligned with Rumble's broader strategy.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to shape the crypto IaaS and payments roadmap (RPC, settlement, custody partners, on/offโ€‘ramps, billing, compliance features) based on market feedback.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop messaging, positioning, and campaigns for cryptoโ€‘native and AI/agentโ€‘native developers and enterprises.
  • Educate priority customers on agentic payment use cases (autonomous subscriptions, machineโ€‘toโ€‘machine payments, agent wallets) and map these to Rumble Cloud primitives.
  • Negotiate and close complex agreements, including joint GTM, coโ€‘marketing, technical integration, and multiโ€‘year infrastructure commitments.
  • Track pipeline, forecast, and performance rigorously in CRM, and report insights to leadership on market trends and product gaps.
  • Represent Rumble Cloud at industry events across crypto, payments, and AI/agent ecosystems; build a strong network of Cโ€‘level and founder relationships.
  • Ensure all partnerships and payment flows account for evolving regulatory and compliance requirements across key jurisdictions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5โ€“10+ years in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales in crypto, payments, or cloud infrastructure, with a track record of closing highโ€‘value B2B deals.
  • Strong networks in crypto and cloud communities
  • Deep understanding of blockchain primitives (L1/L2, wallets, custody, stablecoins, on/offโ€‘ramps, DeFi) and how they intersect with fiat payment systems.
  • Strong grasp of emerging agentic payment models and how AI agents will initiate, authorize, and reconcile payments.
  • Comfortable operating in a highly technical environment (GPUs, cloud infra, APIs, SLAs) and translating these into clear commercial value propositions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: selfโ€‘starter, "hunter" mentality, capable of building a new line of business from 0โ†’1 with minimal structure.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationshipโ€‘building, and stakeholder management skills, including working crossโ€‘functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and legal/compliance.
  • Preferred: prior experience at a crypto exchange, payment processor, wallet provider, or AI infrastructure company.
