Freelance Strategy Director- Freelance (West Coast)

Who we are looking for:  

VML is seeking a Brand Strategy Director (Freelance) to join VML. You're an organized, detail-oriented campaign orchestrator who loves knowing the ins and outs of tools, technology and processes as well as how to craft a Brand brief that engages and energizes. You'll plan, coordinate and execute a major automotive brand's evolution and messaging programs, and help uncover insights that can guide a brand's ideas and decisions in all things.=

What you'll do: 

  • Partner with creative, strategy, data and media teams to support a brand's marketing goals
  • Create and manage Strategic creative briefs
  • Plan and execute strategic campaigns that support key brand milestones and tentpole events
  • Keep a pulse on current events, online trends and potential controversies or threats relevant to the brand

Who you are: 

  • 7+ years of Brand Strategy experience, ideally in the Automotive sector, for a major Advertising Agency
  • Experience working independently and ability to move projects forward without detailed direction
  • Understanding of omni-channel platforms and functions, and the ability to share that knowledge with others
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Ability to present to clients and co-create solutions with them
