Reports To: Financial Center Manager

Classification Code: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Location: In person - rotates through various branches in Columbus/Phenix City area. 

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:15pm & Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm


General Purpose:

Greets credit union members and visitors and directs them to the appropriate employees. Answers basic questions about credit union products and services. Provides input to management in the overall operation of the branch as it relates to members, and to coordinates the flow of traffic in branch lobby.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Must be technologically advanced in eServices (eDeposit, eBranch, and mobile banking). Responsible for having in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the credit union's product line and services including rates, terms, and fees. Must be able to discuss in a professional and knowledge manner with members.
  2. Assists members using the PTM's. Educates members to feel more comfortable while using the interactive technology.
  3. Orders checks for members.
  4. Resets passwords and PINs for members according to department procedures. This includes online banking, telephone banking and mobile banking.
  5. This position is accountable for a successful member experience. Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to member satisfaction. 
  6. Generates a positive atmosphere in the branch in order to educate members through demonstrations and providing information and literature. 
  7. Maintains and promotes the highest level of professional financial service to each Kinetic Credit Union member in order to enhance member relationships. 
  8. Maintains clean environment. 
  9. Properly greets members entering the branch. Works the sales floor to proactively interact with members to build lasting relationships.
  10. Advanced communication skills.
  11. Ability to handle a potentially stressful working environment. 
  12. Displays assertive behaviors in order to overcome objections and gain members commitment.
  13. Maintains high service level. 
  14. Maintain/balance teller drawer. Will occasionally perform basic teller transactions including transfers and processing debit card fees.
  15. Assists with loading, uploading and balancing card machine.
  16. Processes Gift Cards, Prepaid Visa Cards, and Travel Money Cards.
  17. Performs other duties as directed by management.
  18. Complete annual training on BSA/AML to remain current on any changes to these policies and procedures and remain compliant.
  19. Completes SAN (Suspicious Activity Narrative) when applicable according to policies and procedures set forth by Kinetic Credit Union, in accordance to BSA/AML regulations, and turns over to appropriate parties in a timely manner.

20. Understands and adheres to all Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures set in place to ensure Kinetic compliance.

21. Participates in the Community Involvement goals of the credit union.

22. Responsible for completing Information Security Awareness training as directed by management.

23. Responsible for complying with GLBA, Safe Act, Regs B, D, E, CC, Z and other regulatory requirements.



Additional Duties/Responsibilities

  1.  Promotes the credit union through contact with members, vendors and prospective members.
  2. Maintains pamphlet displays locations, by ensuring locations are supplied with necessary material for the staff to operate efficiently.
  3. Able to comfortably communicate and create relationships with members through active conversations to uncover potential needs. Refers products and services to FSRs/MAs when appropriate.
  4. Locks and unlocks office front doors at appropriate opening and closing times, when applicable.
  5. Communicates well with MAs and Managers on members' needs, especially members waiting for assistance.
  6. Assists with all aspects of the coin machine.
  7. Works with branch leadership to maintain all supplies necessary to operate the branch.
  8. Monitor branch traffic through scheduling software.
  9. Must obtain and maintain a valid notary public commission.
  10. Performs additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent and a commensurate level of language, math and reasoning skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary. 
  • Experience operating a telephone console is strongly preferred. 
  • Training in or experience using a personal computer is desirable. 
  • At least one year of related experience is required. 
  • Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education. 

Technology Requirements

  • Employees must have smartphone (iOS or Android) to access company applications for tasks and security purposes.  
  • Employee must install and use designated apps for access control and two-factor authentication to access company systems.

  • None 

Work Environment/Physical Activities 

  • Employee must be able to stand and walk for extended lengths of time as well as reach, stoop, or kneel, or to lift and move at least 50 pounds. 
  • The ability to read small print and color vision may also be required. 
  • The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. 
  • The job requires a high degree of attention to details. Because of varying branch operating hours, a flexible schedule is required.
  • Job requires access to credit union's network and core data processing system. Core system roles are assigned by Chief Operations Officer.
