Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Columbus location. You will be part of a thriving outpatient clinic that specializes in various fields of medicine, including internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and dermatology. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend or evening shifts required for special events or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer essential administrative functions such as managing patient appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy, and maintaining diligent medical chart records.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients by greeting them upon arrival, collecting detailed medical histories, and preparing them for examinations and treatments.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, exemplifying knowledge of medical equipment and protocols while ensuring a sterile examination environment.
  • Gather and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring they are accurately labeled and documented in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administer medications, including injections, following directives from physicians, prioritizing patient safety and compliance with dosing instructions and health regulations.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring, thoroughly interpreting and documenting results while adhering to quality standards.
  • Educate patients about medication use, procedures, and general healthcare guidelines, facilitating understanding and supporting patient empowerment.
  • Perform routine patient care tasks, including measuring vital signs and documenting patient information thoroughly to maintain the highest accuracy standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and order in examination rooms, including sterilizing instruments and actively managing the inventory of medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care, actively participating in communication between departments to support comprehensive treatment plans.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
