Job description

Job Summary:
Evolutyz Corp is seeking a hands-on Network/Data Center Engineer responsible for deployment, configuration, and maintenance of data center network infrastructure. The role involves working with switching technologies, structured cabling, monitoring tools, and supporting day-to-day data center operations and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
• Install, rack, stack, and cable network devices in data center environments
• Configure and manage network switches (Meraki, Aruba)
• Perform VLAN setup, IP configuration, uplinks, and port provisioning
• Support routing & switching operations including STP and L2/L3 networking
• Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds and troubleshoot issues
• Handle hardware alerts (optics, PSU, fan) and outage resolution
• Maintain DCIM systems and track inventory, assets, and rack layouts
• Support breakout configurations (400G to 100G) and ensure redundancy
• Provide remote hands support for deployments and testing
• Participate in maintenance windows and emergency response
Qualifications:
Required:
• Location: Onsite – Santa Clara, CA
• Duration: 6–12 months (contract)
• Experience: 3 years
• TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
• VLANs, Subnetting, IP Addressing
• Routing & Switching fundamentals
• Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
• High availability and redundancy concepts
Preferred:
• Data center operations (rack/stack, cabling, optics)
• Leaf-Spine architecture environments
• Network device configuration and provisioning
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting
