                                HYBRID POSITION: with Onsite in BETHESDA, MARYLAND

Position Description:

UVS InfoTech is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Power Applications Developer to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of advanced enterprise solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform. This is a key technical leadership role responsible for developing complex Canvas and Model-Driven applications, Power Automate workflows, and sophisticated Dataverse data models that support critical mission objectives for the UVS Federal Government contract.

This is a Hybrid role with client location in Bethesda, MD.

The Senior Developer will serve as the primary technical authority, guiding development teams, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring all solutions meet the highest standards for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of Power Platform solutions, including requirements analysis, technical architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Design and develop complex Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate flows, and robust Dataverse data models.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, architecture guidelines, reusable components, and governance standards for the Power Platform.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Program Managers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver solutions that drive operational efficiency.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, external systems, and third-party APIs.
  • Support citizen development initiatives by providing architectural guidance, conducting solution reviews for quality and risk, and promoting responsible use of the platform.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement long-term improvements to application performance and reliability.
  • Stay current with the evolving Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem and introduce innovative capabilities to enhance solution value.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Deep expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Active PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is mandatory.
  • Active U.S Government Clearance (L Clearance) or ability to obtain clearance is mandatory.
  • Strong experience with solution architecture, data modeling, security, governance, and integration patterns.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor developers in a collaborative environment.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices for the Power Platform.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level deployments in regulated or government environments is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience working with U.S Government is highly desirable.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-400, PL-500, or PL-600).
  • Experience with Azure services, custom connectors, AI Builder, or Power Virtual Agents.
  • Background in IT modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience working with federal agencies or highly regulated industries.

Knowledge of security standards, DLP policies, accessibility requirements, and compliance frameworks. This is a high-visibility role that requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic program oversight with tactical execution while maintaining strong relationships across multiple organizations.
