Essential Functions

As an Adjunct Instructor, You Will:

  • Teach hands-on, career-focused courses in Surgical Technology.
  • Share your knowledge in a way that's engaging, supportive, and easy to understand.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and empowered.
  • Use real-world examples and lab simulations to prepare students for entry-level roles.
  • Provide timely feedback and support to help students succeed.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and educational best practices.

What You Bring:

  • A passion for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in surgical technology or a related healthcare field.
  • A commitment to equity, innovation, and student success.
Position Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma of Surgical Technology required; Associate's degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a surgical technologist in the OR required. Prior teaching or precepting experience preferred, but not required.

General classroom environment with standard equipment available during classroom instruction. Lighting and temperature are adequate for course delivery. Moderate noise levels typical of a classroom environment. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling outside the classroom.
