Job description

Description
Founded in 1997, the Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) is a leading after-school math program, serving over 90,000 students across more than 80 branches in the U.S., Canada, and Israel. At RSM, we care deeply about math education. Featured by NPR and The Atlantic as a leader in the "math revolution," and ranked among the best schools in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, RSM helps children of all levels build a solid foundation in math while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
As part of this mission, we develop a wide variety of products that require editorial work-from classroom posters and test problems to student reference books-spanning Elementary School through Algebra, Geometry, and up to AP Calculus and math competition preparation.
As the number of products we create continues to grow, we are looking to expand our editorial team and hire a High School Math Editor.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and edit mathematical content developed by our content teams for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to formatting standards.
  • Maintain consistency with our style guides, particularly in mathematical notation and editorial conventions.
  • Identify and raise content-related issues, and collaborate with the content team to discuss possible improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Track project timelines and manage the progress of editing tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Solid knowledge of grades 8-12 mathematics (including key subjects and terminology)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in math editing.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively.
  • 7-12 classroom teaching experience is preferred.

Benefits:
RSM offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees (upon meeting certain criteria) to support your health, well-being, and financial future. Our benefits include:
  • Medical Insurance: Access to medical plans to fit your needs.
  • Dental Insurance: Comprehensive dental coverage.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Save for your future with a company-matched 401(k)plan.
  • Pre-tax Savings: Take advantage of pre-tax savings options for eligible expenses, including health and dependent care.
  • RSM Tuition Discount: Enjoy discounted tuition for your eligible dependents for RSM classes.

RSM embraces diversity and is committed to attracting qualified candidates who also embrace and value diversity and inclusivity. RSM is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
