Job description

GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Production Manager. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health, safety and explosive regulations.
  • Communicates job expectations; plan, monitor and appraise job results; coach, counsel and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate and enforce systems, policies and procedures.
  • Reviews production orders or schedules to assimilate supply chain requirements (i.e. types, quantities, specifications of components and labor); works interdependently with Supply Chain to ensure proper schedule in order to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for a variety of manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production meets the customer's (internal & external) required delivery.
  • Works interdependently with Quality Assurance to ensure the quality of production meets prescribed specifications and ISO requirements.
  • Reviews production, operating, and quality reports, taking necessary action to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems in order to minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safe operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or related field or combination of education and experience.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience supervising/managing people in production operations.
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with personnel across all levels of the business.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role:
  • Bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive motion - Hands/wrist/shoulder
  • Ability to lift up-to 30 pounds (over 30 pounds requires a team lift).
