  • Plan and execute magazine-quality photo shoots, including complex multi-department productions, with expertise in lighting, lens selection and editorial composition.
  • Provide advanced Photoshop editing for use across the website, advertising, banners, posters, catalogs and Chadwick’s annual Compass magazine.
  • Maintain the school’s online media database; oversee photo-sharing programs with faculty, staff and families.

Social Media

  • Develop and execute Chadwick’s social media strategy, including a master content calendar, messaging framework and channel-specific best practices.
  • Manage and grow the school’s presence across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo and emerging channels.
  • Write, edit and proofread posts; shoot and produce social media video content; and continuously optimize for reach, engagement and enrollment impact.
  • Monitor weekly analytics across platforms and generate actionable reports with recommendations for improvement.

Video Production / Video Editing

  • Pre-Production: Develop creative briefs for major multimedia projects, including outlining goals and objectives and establishing analytics for measuring and reporting on project results.

  • Post Production: Edit videos, including the addition of graphics, titles, sound and music. Strong command of the principles of editing and visual storytelling. Export videos in proper codecs for use on social media, including YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and Instagram, as well as for use in presentations and on the website.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Stay current with the latest versions of software for editing, graphics and sound, taking training courses when necessary.
  • Advise departments across campus on social media, photography and video best practices.
  • Champion diversity and inclusive representation in all visual content, ensuring equitable portrayal of students, faculty, staff and operations.
  • Uphold Chadwick’s brand standards and quality guidelines across all digital communications.
  • Stay current with trends in social media, visual storytelling and digital communication technology; take training courses as needed and share recommendations with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in film, photography, advertising, design, public relations, journalism, communications, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of professional videography and photography experience with expertise in visual storytelling. Portfolio required.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under tight and often changing deadlines, and an ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently and diplomatically with a wide range of audiences with different informational needs.
