Job Description
  • We are looking for a Senior Java Spark Developer who is passionate about coding building scalable systems and driving engineering excellence to support the transformation and modernization of Citis data processing platforms
  • This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in writing clean efficient highquality code enjoys solving complex distrib data problems and is motivated to build robust scalable and maintainable systems You will play a key role in translating business requirements into productiongrade solutions while continuously improving platform performance reliability a development practicesResponsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable highperformance applications using Java and Apache Spark
  • Translate business requirements into clean efficient and reliable technical solutions
  • Write modular testable and maintainable code following OOP principles and design patterns
  • Continuously refactor and optimize applications for performance scalability and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data processing and performance issues
  • Perform and participate in code reviews promoting engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with architects product owners DevOps and Agile teams for highquality delivery
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement
    Qualifications
  • 7 years of handson experience in Java and Apache Spark Big Data development
  • Strong foundation in objectoriented programming design patterns and clean coding practices
  • Proven experience building and optimizing largescale distributed data processing systems
  • Experience with REST APIs RDBMS and Kafka or similar messaging systems
  • Exposure to microservices and containerization DockerKubernetes is preferred
  • Experience in Databricks is preferred
  • Familiarity with or interest in Alpowered solutions Al agents is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile environments with strong collaboration and ownership mindset"

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 80,000 - 90,000

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
