Job description

About the Role
Cambridge School of Culinary Arts (CSCA) Cafe is looking for a creative, camera-comfortable Social Media Coordinator to bring our food, drinks, and community to life online. You'll be the voice and eye behind our TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook profiles — planning, shooting, editing, and posting consistent, scroll-stopping content that keeps our regulars engaged and brings new faces through the door.

What You'll Do
  • Plan and maintain a consistent posting calendar across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Shoot and edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks) and photo content featuring our food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere
  • Film and photograph our baristas in action — prep, technique, and finished product — for behind-the-scenes content
  • Film and photograph the baking team in action — prep, technique, and finished product — for behind-the-scenes content
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions and copy for every post
  • Stay on top of platform trends, sounds, and formats, and adapt them to fit CSCA Cafe's voice
  • Respond to comments and DMs and actively build community engagement
  • Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and adjust strategy based on what's working
  • Collaborate with cafe staff and management on promotions, new menu items, and events to turn into content
What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 Years Prior experience managing social media accounts or creating content (personal, brand, or freelance) — a portfolio or sample content is welcome
  • Strong photo/video skills using a smartphone; comfortable filming and editing short-form video
  • A creative eye and a genuine interest in food, coffee, and cafe culture
  • Excellent written communication and a knack for a scroll-stopping caption
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with light supervision
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook best practices and analytics tools
  • Ability to maintain a consistent stream of posts
Position Details
  • Employment Type: Part-Time, 10-15 hours/week to start.
  • Pay: $23–$27/hour, based on experience
  • Schedule: Flexible, with on-site availability needed for content shoots at CSCA Cafe and Cambridge School of Culinary Arts
  • Location: CSCA Cafe, Cambridge, MA
