Job description

Rail and Transit Practice

What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker is seeking a talented PMO Controls and Interface/Configuration/Integration Manager with a specialization in railroad design and construction projects, to help make a difference in our Rail and Transit Specialty Practice.  The candidate will work out of Michael Baker's Alexandria, VA office supporting practice management across the company under limited supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience supporting railroad design and construction projects. 

What You'll Do:

  • Management of all project control functions for design and construction projects including but not limited to budgets, estimates, cost-resource loaded-critical path schedules, document control systems, change orders, claims, risk matrices, economic forecasts, KPI metrics and tracking, procedures and work flows, and report outs.
  • Management of stakeholder requirements, configurations, and system integrations.
  • Development of Rail/Transit Network Activation and Operating Plans.
  • Thorough understanding of, and compliance experience with FRA and FTA requirements.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in the A/E and construction industry.
  • Experience and understanding of Cost Control/Project Controls and Earned Value Management.
  • Experience with various BIM platforms, E-Builder document management, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Project and Primavera (P6) scheduling software and analyses.

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
