To thrive as a Freelance Interior Architect, you need a strong background in spatial design, architectural principles, and an accredited degree in architecture or interior architecture. What does a freelance interior architect do?

A freelance interior architect is a professional who designs and plans the interior spaces of buildings on a project-by-project basis, rather than working for one employer. They focus on both the aesthetics and functionality of interior environments, ensuring spaces are safe, efficient, and visually appealing. Their work often involves collaborating with clients, contractors, and other designers to develop layouts, select materials, and oversee the implementation of their designs. Freelance interior architects may work on residential, commercial, or public projects, and they often manage their own schedules and business operations.
