Dewberry is seeking an energetic Entry Level Interior Designer to join our Peoria, IL office.  The ideal applicant must have completed their Design degree, experience in the building design field a plus and potentially have started NCIDQ with a future goal of registration.

Interior design professional will work under supervision of the Interior Design Department Manager as well as receive additional direction from a Project Architect or Project Designer.  The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a keen ability to translate design intent into drawings.  Duties will also include organization of the materials library and meeting with industry representatives. An ability to communicate (written and verbal) and a spirit of collaboration is paramount.  Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational skills, an ability to formulate, research and ask pertinent questions, and the initiative to take on design or technical challenges.  Working as part of a team, the Interior Design professional will have exposure to the full design process. 


  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university required
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise
  • Must be proficient in REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Rendering abilities, graphic experience and photoshop a plus
  • LEED AP certified a plus, but expect knowledge of sustainable design principles

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

*The projected range for this position is $60,785 - $63,285 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
