Job description

Alphanumeric is hiring a Data Analyst - Insurance Systems Conversion to work in Virginia with a long-established leader in the financial and insurance industries.


Pay Range: $70.50 - $75.50/hour (We do not accept applicants from 3rd party agencies. Applicants must be able to work on our W2 without sponsorship now or in the future).


Join a collaborative team supporting large-scale life insurance and annuity administration system conversions. In this role, you'll help validate product functionality and policy values as business transitions from multiple legacy administrative platforms to a unified system. If you enjoy analyzing complex data, solving problems, and ensuring accuracy, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and manipulate data to support life insurance and annuity system conversion projects
  • Review and reconcile balancing reports by comparing source and target system values
  • Document testing results, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes
  • Research data differences and support recommendations for required changes
  • Execute detailed testing processes with a high degree of accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product validation
  • Maintain clear documentation while meeting project timelines and quality standards

Required Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing data using various tools and programming/query languages
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately execute repeatable processes and document findings
  • Quick learner with strong time management and deadline-driven execution
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Basic understanding of life insurance and annuity products and features
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with life insurance product development or in-force management
  • Knowledge of IT, actuarial, finance, or risk/audit processes
  • Familiarity with Life Comm, Life/70, Ingenium, and/or AdminServer
  • Previous administrative system conversion experience
  • Experience using Alteryx
  • Completion of one or more Actuarial exams
