By joining this particular High Performance Computing (HPC) prime contract, you'll help maintain and advance the computing infrastructure that powers unprecedented mission-critical analysis, scientific discovery, and scalable national security outcomes.______________________________________________________________________As a System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. US citizenship is required.Responsibilities:Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systemsProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systemsProvide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systemsProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningQualifications: Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and installUnderstanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, SlingshotFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, AnsibleProven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problemBachelor's degree in a technical disciplineMinimum three (3) years of demonstratable system administration experience or eight (8) years minimum experience in lieu of degreeDoD 8570 IAT II level certification___________________________________________________________________The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
