Description:

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Technical/Functional Expert (HPC) to provide advanced support for high-performance computing environments. This role focuses on Tier 4 support, system performance optimization, and resolving complex issues across large-scale HPC infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HPC systems, file systems, and distributed computing, supporting mission-critical environments and ensuring reliable performance across data-intensive platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 4 support for high-performance computing environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across HPC systems and associated applications
  • Configure, tune, and optimize high-performance file systems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre
  • Support HPC cluster environments, including monitoring, failover, and system availability tools
  • Administer distributed computing frameworks such as SLURM, LSF, and related tools
  • Configure and maintain RedHat and SUSE Linux-based systems
  • Analyze system performance and implement improvements across HPC infrastructure
  • Support testing and validation of system changes and upgrades
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in large, complex IT environments providing advanced technical expertise
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting HPC systems, distributed computing environments, and high-performance file systems
