Job description

Current is seeking a freelance Senior Paid Media Strategist to support our growing media team. This role is ideal for someone who blends strong analytical thinking with hands-on paid media experience across performance channels.

You'll help drive campaign performance through reporting, insights, optimization, and execution across channels including Meta and Google Ads. You'll work closely with media leadership to turn data into clear recommendations and help scale paid media operations across client accounts.

This role is well-suited for someone who is both strategic and executional. Someone comfortable getting into the details of campaign management while also contributing to higher-level planning, optimization, and client storytelling.

ResponsibilitiesReporting & Insights
  • Build weekly and monthly client reports with clear, executive-ready insights
  • Analyze campaign performance trends and identify optimization opportunities
  • Combine data from multiple sources into actionable recommendations
  • Maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reporting processes
  • Translate performance data into clear stories for internal and client audiences
Strategy & Execution
  • Launch, manage, and optimize campaigns across Meta and Google Ads
  • Support paid social, paid search, audience targeting, and testing strategies
  • Recommend changes to improve performance across creative, targeting, and budget allocation
  • Monitor pacing, delivery, and overall campaign health
  • Assist with media planning, budget allocation, and performance forecasting
Analysis & Reporting
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities across channels
  • Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready recommendations
  • Build reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for internal and client audiences
  • Support campaign QA and ongoing performance monitoring
Collaboration

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of paid media / performance marketing experience
  • Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Experience with GA4, Google Sheets, Excel, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
