Torch Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to support aviation diagnostics, prognostics, and health monitoring initiatives for U.S. Army aviation platforms. The selected candidate will join an engineering team developing mission-critical applications supporting predictive maintenance, aircraft health management, and maintenance analytics.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software applications.
  • Develop web applications, REST APIs, and backend services using C# and .NET.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server databases and data pipelines.
  • Implement scalable object-oriented software architectures.
  • Integrate with external systems and data sources.
  • Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • Support software deployments, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in Agile development activities and customer technical reviews.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and aviation subject matter experts.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with object-oriented design principles and patterns.
  • Proficiency with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs.
  • Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and database design.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks.
  • Familiarity with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with Git and source control management.
  • Understanding of software lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, or DoW programs.
  • Ability to work on customer site at Redstone Arsenal.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of CMMI, ISO 9001, and software quality processes.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or GitLab.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with condition-based maintenance, HUMS, IVHMS, or predictive maintenance systems.
  • Experience supporting Army aviation platforms or maintenance analytics environments.
