ABOUT US: Ascensus Global, Inc. (formerly MultiLingual Solutions, Inc.) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 21 years of successful experience providing professional language services, foreign language and cultural training, and analysis support to a broad client base consisting of more than 40 U.S. military and intelligence customers, as well as over 2,000 civilian government, commercial and non-profit organizations in various fields. With ISO 9001:2015 and 17100:2015 certifications, AGI provides services in more than 100 languages, employing innovative technologies and methodologies and applying best practices from both the Government and commercial arenas to advance each customer's unique communication and operational objectives throughout the U.S. and across the globe.
POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking experienced bilingual interpreters to support a customer in Charlottesville, VA. In this role, interpreters will provide in-person, and occasionally remote, support for new hires during onboarding and training, as well as assist with department meetings and company briefings. New hire training will focus on workplace safety to help ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Languages Needed: Dari, French, Mandarin, and Spanish.
This is a freelance contract position and will be assigned as needed.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide on-site interpretation with human resources for employee onboarding processes, company meetings, department training, safety protocols, equipment handling, and OSHA requirements.
  • Act as a real-time interpreter between management and staff to facilitate daily operations, interviews, performance reviews, and briefings.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: N/A
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English and one of the foreign languages.
  • 3-5 years' experience in interpretation and training, preferably within a distribution center environment.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills,

Preferred Requirements:
  • Professional Interpreter Certification or similar accreditation is a plus.

Work Environment
  • Work hours will align with the customer's operating schedule.

Pay Range: Salary will be determined based on factors such as education, geographic location, contract labor category, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
