Job description

GAMURS Group is seeking versatile and passionate Freelance writers who can produce timely, well-considered, and engaging articles for our brands. The successful candidates will become part of a small team focused on producing pieces across a multitude of niches and areas of interest, so they should be culturally and socially engaged, as well as curious about numerous areas of interest.
Candidates will need a high standard of written English, but the position is fully remote, so is open to applicants from all regions.
Responsibilities
  • Write 1-4 short-form articles per day, with a focus on trending news, cultural events, politics, social media happenings, and entertainment news.
  • Pitch articles that are both suitable for a variety of traffic referral sources (including search engines, syndication platforms, and social media) and also in line with the voice and style of the target websites.
  • Monitor news cycles and pitch either breaking news or appropriate short-form features that will provide a unique angle of coverage.
  • Write articles based on pitches from the editorial staff.
  • Put the factual accuracy of reporting front and center in your work.
  • Utilize best practices for referrers and partners to ensure the best possible visibility.
  • Be passionate and communicative with other staff, and engage with the pieces that you choose to write.

Requirements
  • The candidate should have proven experience covering news, entertainment, politics, or cultural content.
  • The ability to produce clean copy to a high standard of English.
