In this role you will:

Software Design & Development

• Architect, design, and develop scalable, performant and faulttolerant FINTECH applications usingC++

• Implement highquality code adhering to secure coding standards, lowlatency design patterns and best engineering practices

• Develop services and components that integrate viagRPC,REST API'sand internal messaging frameworks

• Experience working on containerized applications in docker,podman,kubernetesor OCP

• Optimizeapplication performance, memoryusageand latency for realtime transaction processing systems

Database Engineering & Data Layer Integration

• Design andmaintaindatabase schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries forOracleor other enterprisegrade RDBMS systems

• Ensure efficient data access patterns, indexing strategy and query optimization

• Work with large and highthroughput datasets relevant to financial transaction flows

Systems Engineering & Platform Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications running onRHEL-based systems

• Monitor system health, tune OS/network parameters for highavailability environments, and troubleshoot production incidents

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure smoothdeploymentpipelines using CI/CD tools

Networking & Communication Protocols

• Work with transport and application-layer networking concepts (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, load balancing, service discovery)

• Develop and maintain microservices anddistributedcomponents usinggRPCandRESTful API's

• Ensure secure,compliantand efficient communication flows in financial transaction ecosystems

Automation, Scripting & Tooling

• Build automation scripts, deployment tools, log parsers, and monitoring utilities usingBashand optionallyPython

• Create CI/CD improvements, automate service rollout procedures, and support environment consistency

CrossFunctional Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with Product Owners, QA teams, DevOps, Security, and Business Analysts to deliver highquality releases

• Produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks

• Participate in technical reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, risks, and design considerations

• Conduct performance tests to ensure applications handle high efficiency flawlessly

• Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to efficiently implement solutions

• Expand test automation and help to ensure quality in different test environments

We are seeking professionals with:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, InformationSystemsor related field

• 5-10 years hands-on experience inC++ (C++11/14/17)

• Strong objectoriented design, data structures,algorithmsand design patterns

• Experience with multithreading, concurrency controls, memorymanagementand high throughput applications

• Proficient inOracle SQL, PL/SQL, functions, triggers,indexingand performance tuning.

• Experience designing scalable relational schemas

• Hands-on experience withgRPC(Protocol Buffers), RESTful API's, microservices frameworks

• Understanding of message serialization, secure communication, and service orchestrations

• Proficient inRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)environment

• Knowledge of Linux tools, system services, packagemanagementand OS tuning

• Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, SSL/TLS)

• Strong experience inBashscripting

• Optional but valuable:Pythonfor automation, dataprocessingor integration tasks

• Strong analytical thinking, problemsolving, and debugging ability

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to work in an Agile development environment

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to FINTECH transaction systems, clearing/settlementplatformsor financial messaging

• Experience in performance engineering, lowlatency optimization or highfrequency transaction environments

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker,Podman), CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)

The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is $101,303.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $188,135.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
