ABOUT US: Ascensus Global, Inc. POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking reliable and bilingual experience for a commercial business located in Charlotte NC. In this role, interpreters will provide in-person, and possibly remote, support for new hires with onboarding, training, department meetings and company briefings to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. 


Languages Needed: Spanish, French, Cantonese, Arabic MSA, Dari, Turkish, American Sign Language


This is a freelance contract position and will be assigned as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Provide on-site interpretation with human resources for employee onboarding processes, company meetings, department training, safety protocols, equipment handling, and OSHA requirements. 
  • Act as a real-time interpreter between management and staff to facilitate daily operations, interviews, performance reviews, and briefings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English and one of the foreign languages.
  • 3-5 years' experience in interpretation and training, preferably within a retail store environment. .
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills,

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional Interpreter Certification or similar accreditation is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Hours will be determined by the distribution center's hours.

Pay Range: $60 - $90 an hour
