Position Summary:
The Instructional Designer & Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging learning solutions that enhance employee performance and support organizational goals. This role blends instructional design expertise with hands-on training delivery, using modern learning technologies, adult learning principles, and performance-based methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop instructional materials such as eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), job aids, and blended learning programs.
  • Apply adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and learning experience best practices.
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify skill gaps and recommend training solutions.
  • Create storyboards, scripts, and multimedia content using authoring tools.(e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve content based on feedback and metrics.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Adapt delivery methods to accommodate diverse audiences and learning styles.
  • Provide coaching and support to learners and stakeholders.
  • Manage logistics for training sessions, including scheduling and materials.
  • Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and HR teams to align training with business objectives.
  • Translate technical or complex information into user-friendly learning content.
  • Consult on learning strategies and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support change management initiatives such as system implementations, policy updates, and process improvements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes through learning strategies.
  • Manage and maintain Learning Management System (LMS) content.
  • Track learner progress, completion rates, and performance data.
  • Integrate multimedia, simulations, and interactive elements into training.
  • Measure training impact using KPIs (e.g., knowledge retention, behavior change, business outcomes)
  • Use data analytics to refine training programs.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in learning and development.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
Minimum Experience:
3-5+ years of experience in instructional design and/or training delivery, Experience with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), Strong facilitation and presentation skills, Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
Licensure Requirement:
