We are seeking a Freelance Centric PLM Coordinator to support the product development team within a leading fashion retail organization. This role is responsible for maintaining and managing product data within the PLM system, ensuring accurate information flows throughout the product lifecycle from development through bulk production. The ideal candidate has experience working in the fashion industry, understands garment construction and Bills of Materials (BOMs), and thrives in a fast-paced environment with overlapping seasonal deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain seasonal folders and product data within Centric PLM.
- Manage color code creation and maintenance for raw materials, prints, graphics, and washes.
- Create and maintain colorway codes to support sample development, bulk production, purchase order tracking, merchant adoptions, and website data feeds.
- Complete and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) by assigning accurate color information for all product components.
- Manage style setup, carryovers, drops, and assortment changes throughout the product development cycle.
- Reconcile product data through reporting and tracking tools.
- Support seasonal assortment reporting, vendor development, and product tracking activities.
- Attend milestone, deliverables, and cross-functional meetings to support product execution.
- Lead and participate in live BOM review meetings during key development milestones.
- Maintain process documentation, training materials, and system guides.
- Serve as a PLM subject matter expert by supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements.
- Manage high-volume data entry and maintenance, including up to 2,500 colorways per season.
- Support multiple product categories simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience within the fashion, apparel, or retail industry preferred.
- Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems required; Centric PLM experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of garment construction, product specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
